Two things decide whether a FairPlay login password reset works first time: the mobile number registered to the account, and that phone being able to receive the OTP. Five screens, roughly. FairPlay keeps password recovery on the login screen itself, so a reset starts from exactly the spot where a normal sign-in would, on the website or inside the FairPlay app, and at no point does it ask you to remember the old password you lost. What it does need is the phone number the account was registered with. That number is the anchor for the whole process.
- Press LOGIN, then Forgot Password ? On fairplay.cam, 24fairplay.com or inside the FairPlay app, the reset link sits under the password row, the very spot our replica card marks at the top of this page.
- Key in the mobile number on record. FairPlay checks the reset against the number used at registration, so keep that SIM active and close by.
- Enter the OTP FairPlay sends. It confirms the request, and nobody else ever needs to see it.
- Set the replacement password, then repeat it. Both boxes must match, and FairPlay wants one you have never used for email, banking or social media.
- Hit Update Password and sign in fresh. The new password goes with the same mobile number or User ID as before.
The reset code is yours alone. FairPlay sends OTPs for sign-in, for recovery and for other account actions, and on its own pages it says it will never ask a player for a password. Promo codes get passed around in FairPlay's Telegram and WhatsApp channels; an OTP never should be, not in those channels and not on a call.
One mix-up is easy to to make. These steps change the password on the account you already have; they do not build a new one, and FairPlay's own help text says a forgotten password is no reason to open a second account. A duplicate would probably cost more than it saves (FairPlay keeps its welcome bonus away from duplicate accounts, and allows one welcome claim per player, household and device).

User ID plus password, nothing else. There is no code fallback described for this tab, and the reset itself still runs on the registered phone number, not on the User ID.

FairPlay describes this route as signing in through the registered messenger account. It is a way in while the password is lost; it is not a reset.

Why the phone, every time? Because it was the first thing FairPlay checked. During sign-up the mobile number is entered and confirmed with an OTP before the password is even set, which makes that number the account's fixed point and the password the part that can be swapped out. One FairPlay Password on Every Working Address — the Trusted Same-ID Rule
Indian ISPs block betting domains, so FairPlay runs several addresses at once, and its own notices keep repeating that the same ID and the same password work on each of them. Same account. Same balance. When an address stops loading, the fix is a different working address rather than a password reset, and that distinction saves a lot of pointless OTP requests.

- fairplay.live status No DNS answer from our India test on 10 October, so there was nothing there to sign in to; the dated list of working FairPlay addresses is on the FairPlay Live home page.
Does a reset done on one address carry over to the others? Since it is a single FairPlay account behind all of them, it should, though we have not reset a live account just to prove it. FairPlay also warns that third-party sites borrow its name, and its login help asks you to read the complete web address before entering a password or a code. Short rule. If the FairPlay Password Reset Fails — a Secure Five-Rung Help Ladder
Most resets finish in one pass. When one does not, it usually stalls at the code or at a lock, and FairPlay's own help pages point to a clear order of fixes that runs from the phone in your hand to the support team, with each rung only worth climbing once the one below it has failed. Start at rung one.
- Code missing. Signal on the registered SIM comes first, then a pause; FairPlay's help text asks players not to stack one code request on top of another.
- Stop guessing passwords. Several wrong attempts in a row can put a temporary restriction on the FairPlay account, and lifting that needs support plus whatever verification they ask for.
- FairPlay live chat, open 24/7. FairPlay lists login, payment and verification issues among the things its chat handles.
- FairPlay on WhatsApp. The second named support channel for a recovery that will not complete.
- Email to FairPlay. The third channel, useful when you want the case in writing.
